As part of our learning about forces, we have been exploring water resistance. To understand what water resistance is, we each created our own boats out of paper to test and discover which design was the best for travelling across a distance of water when being blown by a fan. To begin with, we didn’t even think that paper would float but were surprised at how quickly the boats travelled. The final picture shows the fastest 5 vessels which managed to travel across 1 metre of water in 3 to 5 seconds!
